Tiny Stitches Newsletter- February 2008

            Congratulations to the people who contacted Rick Badie with  the Gwinnett section of the Atlanta Journal. Last Thursday, Tiny Stitches was all over the front page and inside too! Click here to read the article.

Since our last meeting, Tiny Stitches was presented a $15,000 grant check from Jackson EMC. Congratulations, Ruth and Martha and thanks for all your hard work. 

Shirley Rathkopf has been a vital member of the Alpharetta group since 2001. She is a professional quilter and has made many quilts for Tiny Stitches as well as totes and sweaters. Shirley and her husband are moving to Seattle to be near their son’s family. We wish them well in their new home- and we will miss them.

Heads up- those who make sleepers and gowns- there have been some adjustments in the patterns.  Check with Jill, Ida or Kathy Brown for the new patterns- some will be available at the business meeting.

            Gloria needs more burial afghans – White, 24”x 24”.    

Anyone signing up for classes at EXPO in March, be sure to come by the Tiny Stitches booth. Those working there may need a short break.
