Tiny Stitches Newsletter- April 

            Expo was a great success!! We took in over $1,081 for the afghan, quilt and finger pin cushions. Leon Cusson worked full time – talking knitting and crocheting with everyone. Thanks to Georgia Lucas, Gloria Bantekas, Ida Boyce, Linda Hargis, Genie Neely, Janet Hornsby, LouiseCoggins, Shari Hoffman, Emily Wojtjak, Marcia Skeete, Melanie Bellavich, and Cathy Temple for helping make it a success. An anonymous donor gave us money to pay for an extra table we needed. A lady from North Carolina was so excited about Tiny Stitches that she sat down and made lapfront shirts for a long time.

            Jill Stubler went to Dahlonega to talk to a group of about 40 church ladies who want sew for Tiny Stitches as an outreach program. She is getting supplies together for this group.

            Below is a quote from an e-mail that Ruth Skaggs got from her quilt guild-

“Is anyone interested in a commercial sewing machine? I know a place that has several for sale. They are old but run good. There are several plain straight sewers and several 4 thread sergers. Don’t know the price but they will likely be under $400. Brands include Juki, Sunco,Consew and Union Special.  There is also a button hole maker and 2 button sewers.”
