Tiny Stitches Newsletter- October 2007
The OCHO fabric sale is in October. Ida has been getting e-mails from them and we understand they will have some fabrics we could use. More as we know it. Hope it doesn’t conflict with our business meeting. Sue Carroll (sccraftylady@bellsouth.net ) and Ida Boyce (bonedigg@bellsouth.net) are serving as the nominating committee for the election of officers that is coming up in November. Is there someone you want to see nominated? Would you like to be on the board? Submit your name or the name of others to the committee. At last month’s business meeting there was a great discussion that led to the group deciding to no longer put fleece blankets in the winter layettes. We will use all the fleece on hand to make sleep sacks. Please continue to speak up and discuss any ideas or issues that come to mind. (Somebody else needs to know the answers, too.) Jill Stubler and Cathy Temple went to Norcross last week to participate in the Wells Company Make A Difference Day. All the employees came by the table to hear about our organization. Some of them will come to spend a day working with us on assigned tasks in February. As usual we need the clothing items- sleepers, gowns, lap-front shirts and sleep sacks for both boys and girls. Sleep sacks will be put in the bags we pack this month. We also need tote bags. Do you need a folding cutting table? Ida has one for sale- she bought it at JoAnn’s. The asking price is $30. Contact her (see e-mail above) Evelyn Finch has a “New” Janome Mylock 634D Serger that she wants to sell. It is about a year old but only used a couple of times. Anyone interested contact Ida for details. We will be glad to run an “ad” for anyone who has similar items for sale. October Meeting Dates:
