Tiny Stitches Newsletter- May 2007
My apologies for this newsletter being late. The June edition will be out in
about
three weeks.
This month we need sleepers, gowns, lap pads and burp cloths for boys. For
girls we
need sleepers. In June we add the diaper shirts and creepers to the bags, so
these
are needed for both boys and girls. To make the diaper shirts , you can use the
sleeper pattern cut at the waist with short sleeves. We also use the McCalls
pattern 2490. Ask around to find someone who has this pattern to share. There
are
creeper patterns in the warehouse.
Bigger is not better- Quilts and fleece blankets should be no larger than 36 x
45
so they will fit in the tote bags. Please no tied fleece blankets- they are too
bulky-(if someone donates this type accept them and we will cut them apart to
make
two blankets) Afghans should be no larger than 36 x36. Please adjust the
directions to fit how tight you knit or crochet. The directions we have for the
Winsome Afghan need to be
adjusted to be the right size.
During the Alpharetta Methodist Church's Day of Service, Meredith Agler and
Renee
Sassaman made a Tiny Stitches presentation. Are you part of another

Several of our volunteers have been dealing with family emergencies this
month. Our thoughts and prayers are with them all.
