Tiny Stitches Newsletter- June 2007
Sorry about the confusion regarding the size of afghans in last month's
newsletter.
The minimum size is 36 inches X 36 inches but they may be larger- a maximum of
36
inches X 45 inches. Please check your personal stitching gauge.
Some sewing notions have been donated to us. Check them out to see if there
are any
you would like for your personal use. Any that are not "adopted" will be passed
on
to another charity after the Monday meeting.
With a lot of help from Linda Hargis, Tiny Stitches is purchasing a rather
large
quantity of very nice cotton knit from a source on e-Bay. The price is much less
than we have seen recently. Three cheers for Linda!
The board has voted to purchase only white resin snaps in the future.
If you have any suggestions of people or groups to approach for donations of
money,
please let Gloria know. Ruth Scaggs and Martha Smith have volunteered to
help with
grant writing. Thank you!
We are trying to locate a serging pleater that belongs to a member. It was
brought
to the meeting when Donna arranged for a lot of us to learn smocking at Bunten
Road. If it is not being used, please turn it back in to the warehouse. If it is
being used, just let us know where it is. Thanks.
