Tiny Stitches Newsletter- November 2005

Tiny Stitches Newsletter- late November 2005

Leon Cusson has been contacting the Lion Brand Yarn Company on behalf of Tiny Stitches. If you are interested in going to their website, it is www.lionbrand.com. Click on Charity connections and enter just tiny to go to Tiny Stitches. (Lion Brand is working on changing this to tiny stitches so if  tiny doesn’t work try adding stitches)

For December we need large totebags and quilts. The Gwinnett Medical Workshop will concentrate on quilts. Everybody please bring your sewing machines and walking foots.

The Christmas Coffee is fast approaching. If you are planning to bring your favorite finger food please let either Gloria (678-482-8360) or Cathy (770-945-6818) know  what you have chosen. You may also just e-mail your response to information@tinystitches.org.

We will try to get the Christmas Coffee invitation, along with a map and directions to Bunten Road Park, to everyone. If you are missed check with  us and we will be sure you have directions.

Happy Turkey Day! We give extra thanks for each of you.

First November Newsletter

On Friday, six of us spent over three hours in the warehouse putting everything neatly in order. Please try to help us keep it neat so it is easier to find supplies as needed.

If you are turning in garments without snaps, please request a snapsetter and we will be glad to help you learn to use it.

This message from Donna Voss- Anyone who wishes to get pleated gowns for smocking, contact her by Friday, Nov. 4 at Dvthimble@aol.com  or information@tinystitches.org  and your request will be forwarded

From now until the Christmas Coffee, get together all your old cell phones and bring them to any meeting or drop them in the box at Atlanta Sewing Center. Emily Wojtczak is going to turn them in to be recycled for battered women.

Keep in mind that Board Elections are coming up- If you have any suggestions for new officers, including yourself, speak up.
