August Newsletter

This month we spotlight Gwen Peterson who has served as the leader of the Alpharetta group for about two years. Besides being the Tiny Stitches leader, Gwen home schools her children as well as being an active church member, wife and daughter. Gwen will continue to make items for the babies. Gwen, thanks for all of your help and guidance. To replace Gwen, we have three capable volunteers- Jane Walker, Renee Sassaman,  and Shirley Rathkopf, who will work as a team.

One of our new volunteers who is really getting involved in a big way is Rose Coward. She has attended business meetings and Alpharetta group meeting as well as helping with pre-packing days at the warehouse. Way to go!

This time of year everyone seems to be distracted by vacations and school being out as well as trying to keep cool. Anything you get made will be appreciated. August is a big month for baby births so we need all we can get to fill the demand.
During the pre-packing day, we discovered we need more boy sleepers and gowns and quilts. While staying inside to keep cool, get those machines going. Any and all help will be appreciated. Next month (September) will be the last month this year for diaper shirts.
