Newsletter - September 2004

Welcome to the end of summer! Where did it go? Hope everyone is ready to get back in the routine.

Thanks to the "warehouse work gang" for all their hard work sorting and prepackaging all the great stuff everybody turns in. They report that we have an ample supply of lap pads and burp cloths. If you have been making these items please hold your finished ones to turn in next month. Needed items from machine sewers are bibs and small tote bags. There is always a need for gowns, sleepers and lap front shirts and it it time to start stocking up on sleepsacks for fall.

Elections are coming up soon. Who will volunteer to serve on the nominating committee? Anyone interested in filling one of the officer positions, please speak up. Contact the nominating committee- you will not hurt the feelings of any of the present officers. Each of you have many talents, some we have not seen yet.

Representatives from the Sheriff's Posse of Dekalb County visited the Gwinnett Medical Workshop in August. We knew they were considering giving us money but to our surprise they handed over a chesk for $1000 before they left. Tiny Stitches is so blessed! Many thanks to the volunteers who work contacting people for possible donations.
