MARCH BULLETIN 2003
MEETINGS THIS MONTH
Business meeting will be Monday, March 3, at the NEW Atlanta Sewing Center at 10
AM. Plans and assignments for EXPO will be discussed.
~ Alpharetta will meet the second Saturday-9:30am-2:30pm
~ Marietta will meet the third Saturday 10am-12 noon.
~ Snellville will meet the third Thursday of each month.
The Snellville
SATURDAY(only) workdays have been temporarily stopped.
~ The Applewood group is primarily for residents of this
location, however others
are more than welcome.
NO MARCH WORKSHOP
Workshop was originally scheduled for March 15- On that day we will be busy with
the Tiny Stitches booth at the Sewing EXPO at the Gwinnett Civic Center.
The
concensus of those attending the February workshop was to cancel the March
workshop.
***REMEMBER This means we all need to add "production" at home to be ready
for next
month's deliveries! Finished items may be left at Atlanta Sewing Center- If you
need
supplies contact Gloria or the Website.
OCHO
A number of people at the February business meeting asked for
directions to OCHO
in Covington. Ocho is a fabric store that has all kinds of fabric and good
prices.
From Lawenceville take highway GA 20 to Loganville- pick-up
highway GA81 to
Covington- Cross the railroad tracks to the 1st traffic light (Deb didn't
remember the street name- it is a multi lane street) -Turn right and ocho is
about 2 blocks down on the left- The address is 4158 Robinson St. (Thanks,
Rayann)
The end of next week, Ocho is having a sale. A group of TS
volunteers is going
on thr first sale day- hopefully to purchase baby knits. GLORIA REQUESTS THAT
INDIVIDUALS CHECK WITH HER BEFORE PURCHASING FABRIC EXPECTING REIMBURSEMENT.
APRIL WORKSHOP
NO workshop at Gwinnett Medical because the regular Saturday
happens to be
between Good Friday and Easter. Their schedule is full so we just had to cancel.
Another option is being explored- Stay tuned!
