June Newsletter
Where did the month of May go? I
apologize for the tardy newsletter. I hope
those of you that need supplies remembered to contact Gloria. If you haven't
put in your request, contact her right away.
Gloria reports that through May we
have delivered 155 layettes with 5348
items. If we keep at this pace, we will deliver about 375 bags for the
year...anyone want to bet we break 400?
On May 10th, Debbie Vickers, Kathi
Massey and Cathy Temple attended the
Alpharetta workday. We took two of the Tiny Stitches sergers and
demonstrated the construction of gowns, sleepers and lap-front shirts.
Everybody ordered lunch and we had a good time getting to know each other
better. We enjoyed meeting everyone and of course they had lots of beautiful
items for us to bring back to the warehouse. Remember anyone is welcome to
visit any group workday. Its fun to share ideas and skills as well as make
new friends.
Some of the ladies who signed up at EXPO or at the Duluth
Joann's store when we
had a table there on class preview day, have joined our group. We have about ten
new volunteers that are eager to help us. Be sure to make them feel at home.
Ladies, thank you for your interest in Tiny Stitches.
After checking the inventory on hand, Debbie reports that the
greatest need this
month is for boy garments- gowns, sleepers, fabric caps, diaper shirts, and
creepers. If you are going to be sewing the next few days and have a choice-
choose boy colors.
