February Bulletin
This month (as usual) we need gowns, sleepers and lap-front
shirts- Keep these
"goodies" coming, please!
REMEMBER to order supplies one week before your meeting or
workshop. FOR THIS
MONTH (February) contact Cathy at
geeftemple@charter.net to request supplies.
The BUSINESS meeting for February was changed to Feb.10 at the NEW location of
Atlanta Sewing Center- across the parking lot near JoAnn's
NAMES IN THE NEWS
RAYANN WALKER and LILA HUNTER have accepted the positions of
Resource
Coordinators- This means they are handling all fund raising and donations.
Should you have any suggestions regarding individuals or groups to contact,
check with either Rayann (RAYWALKER9@aol.com)
or Lila (lila@bloomingdogs.com)
to
be sure efforts do not overlap.
BETSY MALONE , due to other demands on her time, has stepped
down as coordinator
for the Alpharetta group. She will continue to help us as time permits- Thanks,
Betsy for all your hard work.
KATHY SCHUMYand GWEN PETERSON are the new coordinators for
the Alpharetta group

SEWING EXPO- MARCH 13, 14, 15- Gwinnett Civic Center
The Sewing Expo has donated a booth space to us to get our
message out- The plan
is to have people sewing, serging, crocheting,etc. to show what we do. We will
be talking to the visitors and giving out brochures- signing up new
volunteers(hopefully). The booth will be set-up on Wed. the 12- breakdown will
be after 6 on Sat. the 15. Gloria is handling scheduling booth workers. (Yes, we
know the 15th is workshop day- more on that later)
MEETINGS THIS MONTH
~ Alpharetta will meet the second Saturday- 9:30 am - 2:30 pm
~ Marietta will meet the third Saturday 10:00am - 12 noon
~ Snellville will meet the third Thursday of each month -- Snellville Saturday
workdays have been temporarily been stopped.
~ The Applewood group is for residents of this location only and not open to the
public.
The business meeting will be Feb. 10 at the NEW Atlanta Sewing Center- The
WORKSHOP at Gwinnett Medical Center is Feb. 15
This is not limited to the Duluth group- ANYONE is invited! Come , sew, get
better acquainted, have fun!! (Last month there was over 20 of us)
